I bought three technician beanies (olive, gray, and stone) - the stone was a comfortable - I would say normal- fit, while the gray and olive were made noticeably smaller and fit much tighter on the head. I'm near Chicago - had I bought from a store I would have returned those two, but give the distance will keep them. I also bought another different style, and it was great and a very comfortable fit. Not sure what happened to the two smaller made hats in production. But for info - the stone hat is great so I'd try to emulate that fit on all technician beanies. Thats the three (maybe 3.5) star rating: two 5 star, and 2 1-2 star.
